It has announced that the Egyptians now support Nick Reeves belief that there are secret walled up chambers in Tutankhamun's tomb.
Velikovsky suggested in his book 'Oedipus and Akhenaten' that a pit near the front of Tut's tomb might have been used to bury alive Meritaten the widowed Queen of Smenkhere.
Drawing a parallel with the Oedipus story Velikovsky claimed that Nefertiti's eldest daughter was punished for burying the body of her deceased husband against the wishes of Ay.
I believe that Queen Meritaten has already been found in the form of the mummy known as the Younger Woman, so hopefully any secret chambers in the tomb will contain burials from Amarna rather than a walled up Princess.
The mummies of Queen Tiye and of Nefertiti have still not been found in spite of many claims to the contrary, so any further discoveries from within the tomb should prove to be sensational.
